Well most of the stuff we do at Black gap is ok for a non Rubicon. If we do get into anything crazy we always have some that go around or we just wench them up. A stock jeep should do fine on this trip...and we welcome noobs!

Big Bend National Park is awsome. I have been on just about every road out there. The only place in the park you will need 4x4 is on the Black Gap Trail from Glenn Springs Road to the River Road. The Black Gap Trail is my favorite trail out there. You will be fine just have plenty of Gas and Water/Beer!

It's call Black Gap Wildlife Management Area. It is East of Big Bend. Actually it boarders Big Bend National Park on it's West side and boarders Mexico on the south side. You have to buy a $18.00 land use permit to get out there. It is very remote and very dry. There is some good fishing on the Rio Grande too.
