mgh488 Ok so I will just pick up some jack stands at Advnaced. I just got my rig back from the shop, it was in getting the MD safety inspection. Failed for tires, front sway bar link and muffler/tailpipe. Im going to pick her up and fix everything tomorrow and take her back in on friday to be passed.

Black and Gold Jeeper - Need help!

Well I made the step and purchased a 97 SE. It has some rust, nothing major, on the frame, skid plate, and some other areas on the under carriage. So...

I was wondering if anybody could help me in POR-15-ing the under carriage/frame. Ive read a whole bunch but lack a lift and really dont know how effective it would be to crawl under there. Im basically looking for someone to take me under their wing and teach me anything and everything about working on these things, installing parts, fabricating, welding, etc. There is a list of things I would like to do to the Jeep, just looking for someone who wants to be a teacher.

I graduated from UMD '11 and am technically/mechanically inclined. I wont be a bump on a log.
