jeepny thanks for reply, put new steering shaft in , much better now.

cozeinlb Coul be lots of things. Most likely either Tie Rod Ends or the U-joints on the steering shaft. Is it really "play"? Jeeps or any car with a live axle front end ride a little differnetly due to bump steer. How far will whell move before tires turn?

i have play in steering wheel and was wondering what may be causing that?
