I ended up going with the Rugged Ridge 1/2 doors (Jeep JK Wrangler Front Half Doors - 11509.01)
$600 from amazon.
They aren't great but they'll do. The bottom door seal is good, the window upper is good enough for getting caught in the rain.
If it were my jeep I'd go with the OEM 1/2 doors color matched (this JK I'm talking about is my wife's)

Hey guys. I am new here. So, saying hello and also Thank You very much..
Especially IowaRaider. Your pics were invaluable to assembly of my mopar half doors, which as you mentioned include crummy instructions.
As far as the lock cylinder "flange", with the clips in it. They meshed well, having used a tap to bend them flush.
I actually took my lock cylinders to a local dealer and they programmed them for $45, total for both. Far less than any quote I got from a locksmith (one wanted $150!!..yeah right)
Also, the only real snafu I encountered during assmeply was for the plastic interior panels. There are 3 clips that you press into square brackets. I messed up and put one in the middle one, where the handle attaches. It was difficult to remove once I did that.

Forgot to repeat earlier advice in my posts. When you go to the locksmith bring a spare key.
Also here is a photo of the assembled lock. I also thought there was no way it would look good when the ring tabs were bent over but while you can see a gap in this photo you really can't on the Jeep.

|Dogface||Nice photos of assembly....good on ya' for posting those. I should have done the same but really was not sure I had done it right until had it all together. I will be happy to answer any questions. One of my biggest problems was finding all the parts in separate bags. The gasket for the lock cyl is in with the bell crank and I didn't find the small piece with the post for the lock until my lock smith had assembled them...had to remove the clip and put them on. Instructions do kind suck and brush over stuff. I had to email my Dodge parts guy a few times to get all the pieces straight... Many thanks go to him and others who helped me.|

I got mine all assembled today but forgot to do the weather strip before I put the inside panel on Now I gotta take that off and do it but at least I have the latch stuff right and it all works...
I had my locks done by local lock smith... $60 Yikes...but did a good job. I didn't find the little piece that fits into the bell crank til after I got them back but it was no prob taking the clip off and putting that piece on once I knew which was right/left. The rest was pretty easy

Final result...well before the mirror plate was installed. Anyone know where to get 4 more screws so I don't have to uninstall the mirrors from the full doors when putting the plates on the half doors?:

This is the assembled door with weatherstrip on. Note the location of the 3 plastic nuts that hold the door trim.
not sure if there is any value in this one but here is the start of the weatherstrip. When putting it on, kind of keep pushing slightly toward the start...don't stretch it or you will have to try again, there is plenty of length.

Thanks Cruise, could not figure out what to do with those locks until I read this thread. Now my chance to help.
Got the half doors on today and since the instructions suck here are a few pictures of the process. first the lock assembled by a locksmith. This is for the left door. when you take it in take everything from the box and the piece with the brass on it that is on the end. It comes in a separate plastic bag.

The cylinders, covers, key doors, and tiny springs should all go to the locksmith.
And yes, they'll key them to your key. So take your spare to leave with them.

Thanks guys. I didn't know about having them keyed.. Hope I can have them keyed to my key. I'll post pix. Yes, these are Mopar doors. I think? the rest should be easier. There are also four tiny springs in the plastic bag with the lock cyl parts... No clue about them. I'll post pix tomorrow...
Also didn't know there were left and right ? PDF instructions are lacking a bit I'd say...at least for me..

First things first.
Your locks need keyed by a locksmith. Should run $25 or so. Take all the parts, trim rings, and a key for them to use.
Second, there is a left and right tumbler, and you'll need to figure out which is which. They are the first piece that goes in.
Get the tumblers keyed and I'll help figure out the rest.
Mine are off the Jeep at the moment, and I'll dissasemble one and take pics. It's not hard. Just daunting at first.

Help with soft door kit assembly please
I had to buy these doors as a kit. They are back from the paint shop and I'm trying to start putting them together and I can't even figger out the first part of installing the lock cyl assembly. Anyone done this that can gimme some advice ?
There's the black (or chrome) outer trim with four tabs. The cyl has to be installed from the outside but won't go in with that trim ring on. I dunno if these tabs need to be crimped over the edge of the cyl. Does not look like that would be clean after looking at my stock doors.
