I think not..
I remember a time people use to think for themselves in this country, and not just along party lines.. Both sides use to get things done. So with that said,
If we keep our interest in Jeepin' here.. Repub or Demo and work on keeping our forest open to access "our" public lands, We might obtain a sensible goal together.. Which has not been seen in Washington D.C. for quite awhile...
I like lattee's, But I also like black coffee too! :-) And let your representives know..!

|141||Blue Ribbon Coalition probably does more for helping to keep off road areas open than any other organization ( that I know of anyway). Worth spending a few bucks a year to join. Letter writing campaigns help, but professional lobbyists have more access to powers that be.|

So I spoke with a head honcho at Ochoco, and she confirmed that unless a road/trail is posted "OPEN," it is closed. If you violate this, it is a misdemeanor, and you can spend up to 6 months in jail and pay a $5k fine.
This has been adopted for ALL National Forest land.
Total and utter bullsh*t IMO.

LOL 141....I guess I am more of a centrist that leans left on some issues. I'm a liberal with an identity crisis - gun owning, off roading, vegan libtard!
I always see two ends to the story - some people don't want anything at all to be in the woods (as you mention) but on the other end, people want to cut everything, burn everything, and leave it a wasteland...
Hopefully we can meet in the middle!
And yeah, last jeep trip someone was shooting on our way out and I actually heard the bullets hitting trees right next to us. Scary stuff.

Completely agree on the shooting. It's unbelievable the mess that some of these clowns leave behind. They wonder why gates are locked and there are fewer and fewer places to enjoy. I always pack out my brass and targets. What's really scary is some of these people shooting without any backstop or idea of where the bullets are going. I have talked to more than a few people in the woods that I've seen doing stupid stuff. Most didn't always appreciate it, but in the majority of cases they are truly clueless and never had any mentor with common sense show them the ropes.

To Baby Huey's point, if all OHV users were respectful of others, and the forests, we wouldn't be having the conversation.
Sadly, in this knee-jerk World, the minority often sets the policy for the majority.

Yes, I use firearms, I always bring home my targets, never shoot up sellable trees, signs or gates...
Face it , People have no respect anymore for anyone else or property be it Personal or State or Federal...
This is what it leads too, reduced access ..... Just my 2 cents !!

|141||Wow...it never ceases to amaze me just how screwed up our government is. Evidently liberal tree hugging nutcases have nothing but time and money to lobby and wreak havoc on our basic rights. Our tax dollars fund these lands and the fed employee salaries. Yet we are the ones who lose access to these lands?|
