vajeeper1 its the best thing about a jeep, you can do whatever you want with it, looks like a nice clean rig, may not suite everyones particular tastes, but who cares what everyone thinks? its actually rather unique looking, there is a jeep near where i live that has every chrome/stainless and tacky looking aftermarket gadget you can possibly hang on it, and hey, more power to the guy. im sure he loves that jeep just as much as i love mine.

Holton345 Boyz-in-da-Hood rims. Ghastly.

And I do not like any Super Swamper tires ever made.

Skyjacker is crap, in my personal opinion. My jeep's PO screwed mine up with that crap. I am paying out the nose to correct his bad choices in suspension parts.

The Jeep itself, however, is really quite nice.

Cost of tires and rims, reasonably, would be $1200 with steelies and more like $2000 if you got nice alloys that do not make the TJ look like it should be blasting gansta rap or have air bags. The lift kit is something you would have to inspect to see what components have been changed out, what exactly they are, and how it rides and drives. Replacing that stuff (if you are dissatisfied with what it on it right now) would probably run you another $2000 to do it reasonably well with no TC drop.

Just my recent experiences and opinion talking here, though. You mileage WILL vary.

Also, is it really a Rubicon or is that just a sticker? (Some people do that, you know.) I have personally never seen a Rubi that was modded with cheap gear line this. Usually Rubi owners save up the money and spend the time to get very high quality aftermarket gear. Unlike we mere mortals who occasionally purchase cheap crap from China for a bit of retail therapy. HAHAHA!!! Run the VIN to see what this actually is.

Good luck. Remember that regardless of our opinions, *you* are the one who will sit in it, drive it, wheel it, etc. The only thing that counts is whether *you* like it.

JeepBrahJoey if you're wanting to be a pavement princess, it's boss- if you wanna take it off road, it's not set up for that.

All show, no go as far as that is concerned.

DominicanGus Personally, I like it! You like what you like! Don't let people's preferences interfere with what you like! I love the jeep community, but like all communities, they can be a bit tunnel visioned with how jeeps should be... Its your money and your driving the thing. However, just realize if part of your love for jeeps is the camaraderie among jeep lovers, you will be ostracized!!!! LOL

MrWascom From what I've heard, the stars on that style break off really easily under stress. I would swap them out, but I mean, it's got the makings to be a pretty sick TJ.

DutchmansLJ I personally thing rims arent suposed to be flashy on a jeep, if there still shinny and not scratched its a mall crawler. U could probably make some good profit off the tires and rims selling them to get a more pratical tire.

also if u look at price per tire. the bigger the rim more expensive the tire will be if u have a 15in rim and 35s u will probably be paying half that of a tire on 20s

TahoeBen I think a cold air intake, snorkel, and dual chrome exhaust tips would really make this Jeep a keeper. Perhaps they should rice out the interior and add some street glow.

Like my heep for instance, I'm building it for my needs, and not overbuilding. it's all flatland here, so I'll be building mine for the dirt trails at the deer lease, and the beach. Pucks, 31s and a truetrack in the rear is all I'll be doing on my 4 banger. I know this won't work for many, but I don't care. I'm still enjoying my Jeep, and if you go for this rubicon you should too. Oh, and the Rubicon is a good platform to be starting with anyway. Any updates on whether you got it?
Right on, well said. Maybe he won't be seeing any offroad driving, but still enjoy the drive. It's still a jeep.

JC_LJ Looks pretty good to me. Personally, I'd swap the wheels. You could probably get big $ from a guy who wants to throw 'em on his truck.

With those wheels and tires I don't think you have to worry about the wave. Throw up a gang sign, mabye . . . but no wave.

rgroesbeck1 It's a no for me, too. Skyjacker. 20s. The tires. Just doesn't seem right. But, someone must like it.

Csahara This is 5 years old now.....

I couldn't agree more!! It's supposed to be a tough/capable Jeep. Not a blinged out over sized rim with a tire that can't be aired down and has no sidewall protection.

Swap out the wheels and tires and you got a pretty schweet TJ

gomezaddams Buy it, but offer a lower price. After all it is 4 years older than when he started selling it. With the money you save you can get new wheels!
