seaharathewrangler The mechanic at Big O Tires said they tested the fuel pump and it was testing strong.

Evpjr You are experiencing the "Joy Of Ownership," of the best little 4X4 in the world. What you have is the old and popularly know problem of ASD syndrome.
What is ASD syndrome you ask? Well it is the Migraine that develops when you don't now what's wrong or where to go to fix it. The ASD relay is the relay that controls electical power to your engine ignition and fuel pump. If it is bad you get a "No Start," situation, or if your ride is on the Hiway you will get a "Play Dead," episode, or both if it feels like it!!!! :-P

HELP! TJ idled out while driving

Just bought my 2000 wrangler maybe 2 months ago and it started by dying at a stop sign, the cranked right up and I went on my way. Same day about 30 mins later it died at another stop sign, cranked, but would not turn over for a good 5 mins. The jeep drove perfectly normal after that for about 2-3 weeks then died when i was driving (no sputter, just died) then it would not turn over for a good 30 mins, then once again drove fine for 2-3 weeks. I went to start it last week and it would not turn over in my driveway, I waited 15 mins and tried it again and it started fine, then drove it and it stalled out 10 mins after that! but it started right back up and drove fine for a week or two which brings me to today. It stalled out while I was driving on a main road and totally blocked traffic, I cranked and it would not turn over and tried that for about 15 mins (on and off). Then I got out and opened my hood and then tried it again and it started right up and drove it home. I took it to Big O Tires the 3rd time it happened and they ran some tests and could not figure anything out. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT by the way on any of the stalls. Help me out with some ideas please? Crankshaft Position Sensor is what I'm leaning towards.
