So still in rebuild mode. I cant say I broke everything from the roll over. some of the things Ive found broken have been fatigued for sometime mos likely.
Front center link and drag link are waisted.
Upper ball joints.
Front upper long arm mount on axle blew out.
Lower seats for C/O springs broke (only the ridge the spring sits in)
diff fluid change.
both rear axle shafts torqued and stretched.
carrier in the 8.8 cracked.
rear tire swing latches.
best top and bows.
50" Rigid light bar. (still works, just bent and housing cracked)
PSC 50" light brackets
D2 dullys from Rigid bent brackets.
thats what i can' see and think of now that I bent tho.
So in fixing everything its gonna take forever. Fortunately for me some of this is easier then I thought to find!
Redlands Motorsports found a new best top and hardware for me. Scott Hartman had a windshield frame from there old KOH TJ they had. and work has some of the brackets. its just a money issue now But were making progress.
Rear end is getting a total make over with new locker from Eaton a full Detroit locker with Motive Gearing 5.13 front and rear, with Factory Ten cromo axle shafts. Rock krawler is supplying new suspension components and steering from their race car and stretched LJ. gonna get Poly performance ball joints and some new Timken bearings for the front rotors.
got the windshield painted and door fixed form the body shop next to work here and the top cleaned and installed. starting to look like a Jeep again

But we will rebuild, strengthen where it was weak, and add new to make it better. 1 more week and it should be on the road again

Ok guys if you have been missing out on Poison Spyder Posts and my FB page Here is what happened. (sorry for going MIA all the sudden. been getting swamped with life)
Went to TDS this past weekend and it was a BLAST. Had a great time wheelin with friends and the Spyder crew.
Went out Saturday with Dusty and some of the guys form SoCal Broncos. That is where the video DTS had previously posted is from. went up it flawlessly! So then Sunday went out again and figured i'd try another line and well.. that wasn't the case. ended up unloading the front end and cam down on the driver side of the jeep and cased it on the roof.
With that being said very minimal body damage. the Fully welded TJ Laser Fit Cage took all of the brunt of the fall. some scratches and scuffs but no sign of fatigue. the fenders front and rear are untouched and the hood is still pristine. the windshield, and windshield frame is wasted tho. the Rigid 50" took a gnarly beating tho, bent and cracked housing. but every LED still works like new. the SPOD attached to the windshield frame is still in working order and the housing for it didn't even crack. the soft top is ruined tho, ripped and bent beyond repair. Steering components are wasted and ball joints are trashed. some rear end noise too.
This was a different line I took that day. Different line mixed with driver error caused a roll over for the TJ. Jeremy and I are fine, just a bit bruised up. We were in good hands with the Poison Spyder crew, friends, and family who helped get us out safely as well as getting the Jeep back on all 4's. This is what happens when we take risks and go for new heights. Experience doesn't always come from success. Jeep is banged up but nothing we can't fix. Thanks you for everyone's help that day. Couldn't have been in better hands in a situation like this.
Next step is the rebuild.

just got back from KOH and man what a great time and race we had. Our Full Body JK rocked the course and after a long delay due to a radiator fix we continued the race but ran out of time when we hit the 9:00PM check point on lap 3 at Chocolate Thunder. we left with our car running, driving and in great condition in spite of a JB-Welded radiator! Our friends Eric Anderson, Lance Clifford, Shad Kennedy, and Cody Wagner also did a great gob and killed it on the course. I didn't take many shots cause I was in the pit, then the booth, then main communications radio for the race so some of the photos are mine and some are from our team of media guys we had. :cheers:

went wheelin last week with larry and DLL. kinda nice t take a brake form work and get out for some recreation wheeling.
here are the new corners and rockers im putting on. I never really liked the look of the comp cut fender, looks too modified or "extreme" so I'm going for the clean flush look and maybe a bobbed LJ? lol
What do you guys think?
Also in the mean time. I have been asked to fox the bosses wife's golf cart for Hammer Town. easier to get around then a RZR because you don't have to have seat belts abd helmets for the golf cart. I did the "build" at my house and she had no idea what i was doing to it. so we made our own version of our Poison Spyder Race Car "crispy" the BAJK. which we now have "Crunchy" the BAGC!
needless to say not only were we building a race car, but after i left the shop it was back to the grind on the golf cart. glad both are finished and headed to the lake bed today!

so since ive bene out here we wheeled twice in Johnson Valley (where they run the King of Hammers race) was a blast wheein new trails and meeting new people. the chevy deff doesn't like the hills around here towing, and te Jeep isnt used to wheeling nonstop. so of coarse we run into issues. ended up breaking an axle shaft in the front.
i broke the shaft on the last run on Sunday i figured it was time for a few upgrades. I finally bought a set of RCV axle shafts for the front with Warn hubs and the 30 spline inner conversion kit for the outer hub ring. also went with a new K&N filter. while doing so at work Ive been playing around some and am currently working on a CB mount for the PSC roll cages. its just a proto of a proto but seems effective for the mounting location.

I'll probably be doing a similar setup for my shocks down the road. I just picked up a new welder after a few years and fired her up last night. Once I get comfortable again I'll probably tackle my shocks.
Who did you go with for your 4 link? That's definitely on my to-do list.

Ordered new shocks for the rear. Rock Krawler 2.0's and moving the mounting points around for better stability. gonna bring them outside of the frame. not gonna french them in, but keep them outward. I don't wanna french the back untill I go CO on it. Which I'm looking at near the end of EJS 2014. Deciding most liekly on a Anti Rock for the back while keeping the Stock Swaybar up front. The stock Will help being its a Daily driver for on road use. but the Currie rear swaybar will givre me stability off road and help with tracking in the rear end. Since I don't have a trackbar with the triangulated 4 link.

I spend yesterday out at Big Bear with a group of friends and let me tell you it was one heck of a trip! started off great, was gonna trailer the jeep but figured why not drive it, its only an hr. just wasn't all about highway driving with cops and all. bout 1/3 ways through the day I shattered a hub in the front end tho. which wasn't a big deal i have a spare but didn't bring it with me Wheeled like a champ tho the rest of the day with no front locker. gotta say 40's really help when in time of need! half way through the trail it started raining.. then down pouring.. then acorn size hail! it was nuts.. i felt like i was in FL again but just with mountains around! Made it through the whole day without being winched so I call it a good day! had a blast with everyone too. was my first wheelin trip since ive moved to CA and was deff one to remember.

Now you've got my head going round and round about this and it's not even my rig. Oh, I may be interested in that hp44 when you move up to 60s...that is if I don't decide to put one in myself. We get a lot of vans in my shop and every now and then one will have a 60 front. I always try and get them to sell it lol

The front ends is out of a 79 ford bronco the HP44. I am just running factory brakes on it tho. 111.75" rotor, non slotted. and single piston calipers. like I said all factory. if it helps with the brakes, I honestly have no issue spending a few hundred to get it right... but will a hydroboost system give me the same outcome with the stock parts.. thats the question

While working my new found job at Poison Spyder here in CA, New products are on the horizon! Unfortunatly I can't Show you guys all of the awesome things we are working on untill they are released! haha but fortunatly for you the DeFender Standard Inner Fenders were released so I have some shots of the install.
The cool thing about it is that I already Had the DeFenders installed. I didn't have to remove them to install the new Inner Fenders. I unbolted all the factory hardware and brackets off the stock fenderwells (or what was left of them) and simply slid them out from the bottom side of the fender. They slid right around the coilover mount and right around the tires.
Once the stock inner fenders were taken out the 3 Piece set simply bolts together. I started loosle with the top piece that bolts to the DeFender, then the backing plate, to give me room around the edgesd for the piece that follows the contor of the shocks and springs. They simply bolt together like legos. pretty cool. I did however have to rearange some of the components to make better fitments. The Hardware Kit does come with a few extra bolts to aid in a clean look for drilling holes and attaching factory components to the area of your choice depending on what you are running. I moved my fuel vapor can to the driver slant side of the innerfender piece. i just removed the factory bracket that holds it inplace and bolted straigh to the fenderwell. used rubber gromits so it wouldn't rattle either! :2thumbsup: Moved the Washer fluid bottle over to the end as you cna see too. Im running an Banks cold ait intake. the stock air box will not fit with this set up without heave mods i used some aluminum "L" brackets to fasten my intake to the fender. using hoseclamps and some rubber bushings i was able to relocate my resi for the coilovers to the under-tops (oximoron?) for a cleaner look
