sorry...am I in the wrong thread for that?
I forgot Wash ever said that. Lol.

As for the wave, if you want the wave to stay alive, just wave to the jeep, if its owner waves back sweet, if not, no harm no foul. And lately its the cjs that wont wave (im in a tj)

It wasn't confusing, it just seemed hypocritical. And that's why the stuck up mindset drives me nuts.

I mean, I know it's not you specifically, cause you wave at everyone. It's just the mindset there that bothers me.

Raoul That's what keeps me wondering.
Are they waving because of the jeep or because I'm pretty?

Moonrider I wave to most wranglers and the most exiting is waving to girls. Recently i waved at naked jeep (not girl) and she looked at me and smiled. Its obvious she didn't know about the wave and thought i wave to her because she is pretty. Well one time i may get her phone number who knows. I"ll keep waving
08-25-2014 06:31 PM
1monday I wave at all Wranglers...hardly ever get a return wave...oh well, their loss
08-25-2014 06:29 PM
roberthleeii People who don't wave to the JKUs are more to blame than the JKU owners for killing the wave because you know better.

krbshappy71 How are you folks labeling/screening the so called "soccer moms"? I would hate to be jilted wave because someone pre judged me. I have to look nice for work but my jeep is naked and my kids are grown and gone and I wave. Oh and my foot is out on the side, does that help? I am snickering, don't take me seriously I just want to make sure I get my waves and not mislabeled.

If you see a tiny brunette with rainbow sunglasses and her hair flying all around...WAVE!

krbshappy71 I got a Peace wave yesterday, I was so happy! It matters, keep doing it.

flowerfistandbestialwail If we keep waving though we might get through to some of them. A friend (who doesn't drive a Jeep but "gets" the Jeep thing) has a friend who bought a Jeep and asked him recently if he waves. He bought it without a clue and eventually googled "why are all these people waving at me??" And now he gets it. And waves.

Jeffcs I look at this way (I drive 2-door jk) I wave to all wranglers some do some don't
Just not gonna stop waiving just because some yuppy thought a jeep thinking it would be the coolest SUV on the block and will never get the jeep thing still I wave

Gord P I get waves from lots of 4drs here. I often initiate but that's because I just wave when it seems like it's an appropriate distance where they'll see me. I'm not going to try to categorize those who don't wave because it would no doubt be flawed. There are too many to really say for certain that they never wave. It's entirely possible that one who didn't wave today waved the last 3 times and this was just one of those times where it didn't happen for any number of reasons. Meh. I'm waving anyway.

I'm a new JKUR owner (8 weeks) in Los Angeles and have been totally disappointed by my fellow Angelenos. I wanna keep the tradition going but it's such a fail every time a I try. My girlfriend thinks I'm BSing her about the wave because I never get one back. She just laughs.

I will keep trying.

Unfortunately for you, Ontario does have vanity plates. It seems that Quebec does the opposite of Ontario strictly on principle.

Unbroken1 I saw a Jeep the same colour as mine today, which is somewhat rare since Anvil has only been available for 2 years, but his was newer. I slowed right down so he could see me and when he did he gave me the biggest full arm and head out the window wave and thumbs up which I returned of course.

I thought that was pretty cool!
08-20-2014 10:29 PM
roberthleeii I too wave to all wranglers and CJs but have caught my self not waving a few times when I got side tracked checking out the other Jeeps mods

MNwilly I wave at all Wranglers and I am happy to do so (except when I am daydreaming and I miss one). Kind of feels like a good thing to me, a sense of responsibility since I own a Jeep. Maybe since this was my first Jeep purchase, so after 5 months I'm still a newbe. The worst is when I wave and then I forget that I am in our other car, oops.
