Welcome Mperk!

The short answer is "no". Here is the answer to your next question*: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f19/doo...ml#post2288801
*Generally asked after your neck gets stiff from trying to swivel your head around 180║ to look for cars passing on your left...

Same law applies in TX.

fireguy87 Had to share this I'm in a class with about 12 CT Troopers and asked 1 of them how many rearviewing mirrors were required. He was stumped as were the other 11 troopers.
I explained my concern with having the doors and top off my wrangler and they all came back with the same answer of unless the officer has a hair across their butt or they're upset at you, to not worry about it.
A few of them are still trying to look it up on their phones haha. So safe to say I'm not worried.

wedu22 ^^x2...if a ticket would be issued it would be to me
I use a pair of Harley Davidson (extras) I had lying around. I had posted a pic of it somewhere on the forum
- I bolt them on right through the door hinge. Perfect fit!

Mperk I have power, heated mirrors on mine, so I don't think thats an option. I wonder if there are mirrors that will slip in an out of those brackets easily..

Peepers I have these on my 98 TJ:
Warrior Products WAR1500 - Warrior Products Mirror Relocation Brackets in Black for 97-02 Jeep« Wrangler TJ - Quadratec

Takes all of about 5 minutes to swap them out and adjust them to where I can see. You undo the 17mm nut on the bottom of the mirror bracket, pull out the spring and washers, then slip everything into the mount, adjust and tighten.

Or I hear lots of talk of people using motorcycle mirrors that fit into the hinges. I also have small bubble mirrors on the corners of my mirrors, so I just line it up to see out of those when the doors are off.

Mperk Thanks Peepers.. That sounds like a PITA. I have the full doors with mirrors attached so I would have to install/uninstall the frame mounted mirrors for a few hours of doors off at a time?? Will I get a ticket if I dont??
05-03-2012 01:13 PM
Chick86 yikes, really?
05-03-2012 01:12 PM
Peepers I've never had a problem. You just need to relocate your mirrors to the body or have some kind of additional mirror so you still have all three when your doors are off.
