|oilwell1415||Another vote for the condesate drain. It should be visible on the firewall from underneath. You can usually clear them out temporarily with a piece of wire, but once all of that crap is in there it will plug again. This is a good reason to install the HVAC filters from the auto air system. $6 to prevent this is a good investement.|

When folks remove their carpets and bedline the interior, it's usually preferred to hack it out--it's a pain. When my carpets started showing dampness after rains, that's what I did. Now I just shake out a damp all rubber floor mat or towel out a bit of water after a hard rain and it's good. No carpet. Much better.

|superdavis78||Same thing happened me on my 2010....needed the door seal replaced. Leave the floor mat out and use a shop vac to suck up all the water. Leave the mat out for a couple days later to make sure it is 100% dry. If the door seal isn't replaced then it will leak again. Might be something different, but sounds exactly what happened to me.|

That said, I'm pretty sure I've seen this problem mentioned elsewhere here--something about a clogged or misdirected drain pipe for the AC condensation. I recall it being fixed too . . . I think at home DIY style.
Make sure you spend some quality time searching. It's always best to already know the answer.

Trade the wife in for a rental?
Ok, Im joking and that wasnt nice.
I'm gonna watch this thread as my Jeep is doing the same thing.

It's the AC.
I have been driving the Jeep for the last few days with lots of rain, it's bone dry under the rubber Qtec mat.
I let my wife drive it today to work and the passenger floor is wet- she loves her AC cranked up to 11, damn her. It was hot out and not a drop of rain out here in PA.
So what can I do? Is this worth a service visit while I have my ext warranty?

I just put up links to a bunch of threads on passenger side leaks here.
Very, very common. It seems there are a few possible causes.
I glanced at the door seals and the like, but when I didn't see anything obviously out of place I just pulled out my passenger side carpet and sprayed plasti-dip on the floor. After a big rain I just wipe it out with a paper towel. Problem solved.

|05-12-2012 10:38 PM|
|dkeven||do the powder test again, at the door bottom inside. mine leaks at the top but runs down the seal and goes over the door opening right below the hinges can watch it in a downpour sitting in the drivers side. Qtec mats help it to stay wet longer.|

Damp/Wet only under passenger side floor mats?
Ey! I was cleaning my Jeep up and removed my qTec rubber floor liners, and felt the rug. Driver side is bone dry. Passenger is soaked . I figured the rubber added to some sort of condensation, but we have not had any real rain in a few days. My jeep does not leak, I've done the powder test, but I can't figure out why the rug under my rubber mats are soaked only on passenger side. Anyone have any ideas/suggestion?
FYI, it is an 08.
