dspud I live in Laredo. I Would like to join in this club. I am new to the Jeep lifestyle. Always wanted one, now that I have one, I haven't even gotten it out to the beach yet!

AmericaOverland Isn't there still a hunting lease in the south, like in Brooks County? I remember Mom and Dad taking me there when I was a baby. We'd go there in the Scout 80 in the fall and early winter. I remember one year when we upgraded to a small travel trailer, almost a tear-drop, but bigger. I remember going to the bathroom outside on the potty seat, and it was cold, snow and ice on the ground. An amazing view that year. That might have been '69-'71.

I'm in Houston, though.

As far as just Jeeps, its kind of a hit and miss situation. Most of the members who have joined already want it to be Jeep exclusive so that may be the way we decide to go. Once we get 3 more new members I'm going to schedule a meet/greet/eat deal.

busemans Hopefully it works out good. I have been in two clubs and both had lots of talk but when it came to actually showing up, only about 5 of us came out each time.

onemore4x4 I'm getting quite alot of interest in a Jeep Club here since I put the ad up. 14 and counting as of today and they all seem like good folks too. Should be some pretty good turnouts when we all meet & greet. A few more and it may happen sooner than I was playing.

Recruiting for South Texas Jeep/4x4 Club

Have had alot of trouble finding a well established Off Road Club in South Texas. Some neighbors of mine have been wanting a club to start up out here but they can't seem to find anything either. Mainly the North Padre Island, Flour Bluff, Corpus Christi, Port Aransas area. Looking to start one very soon with a website, get togethers starting with 1 big BBQ kick off.

Recruiting any 4x4 owners that have even a slim amount of pride in what they drive.
