Welcome and enjoy the forum! I don't know how to answer your problem. Post it in the JK tech section.

|SilverSport||Welcome Aboard! In my humble opinion you want the 3.73s. In 4LO they increase the crawl ratio allowing you to drive slower.|

Wish I had a Sport instead of Sport S
Just bought a 2012 Sport S 6-speed, 2-door, with 3.73 rear end and 17" rims and 31" tires. Added skid plate and rock rails. Love my husband's 5-speed 2011 Patriot, but clearance and lack of low range insufficient for getting to trailheads for peak bagging in Colorado. Love the Wrangler also, but after 1,000 miles it feels too much like a truck for the 98% of my driving around town and on highway. (stiff, lots of rolling resistance, heavy). I test drove a Sport with 3.21s today -- lower height, smaller tires, less torque felt a lot nicer to me, similar to a Patriot, but obviously with better off-road capability. If I wanted to adjust mine, would going to the smaller 16" rims and smaller tires give it a lighter, smoother, more nimble feel like the Sport I drove today, or is it the 3.73 torque I'm mostly feeling? Or both? I might have to swap mine for the lesser model. Changing rims and tires would be costly, which would be okay if it works, but is the 3.21 a big part of what I'm felt that I liked in the Sport today?
