WatchThis! Im fron east texas but I spend 6months out of the year between big spring and stanton at work. I have seen a few spots that I would love to be able to try out in my jeep. One is on BI20 if coming into big spring going east, the big hill on the right. I look at that thing every time I go by it and I do beleave I found a spot where I could drop off that ledge and make it down the hill after climbing up it futher west.

My guys at work keep buging me to bring my jeep back out sometime since they havent seen it after I did the lift. I will probly bring it out in a few weeks so if yall see a red and blue JKU rolling around in big spring feel free to wave.

Ruff Rider not over 25 lol but i know just about everyone that lived by the lake i was there back when the water would flood from the lake into your house we lived on both the south side and the north side the house we lived in on the south side was a small stucho house with blue trim kinda close to the guy that has the big water tank lookin house we moved from there to the other side of the lake when the water dissapeared

It wasn't too far off the lakeshore back then, until the lake started drying up in the early 70's.

Sounds like it would be worth a trip to see what kind of trails are around there.

this won;t work with the motorcraft carb without some type of adapter or some metal snips and a set of nibblers. you can just grab a 9" open air element and cleaner form oriellys. thats what i have, i think its a 9"

i was going to use this on my mc2100 and then use a cherokee factory filter box but since i pulled the mc2100 off, i never pursued the design

Ruff Rider i used to live at Lake Thomas lol thats so cool we still have the lake house its the red log cabin off sourdough rd the pic was here around the house got a lot of land but the trails get old ive done very little wheelin round Thomas in my jeep but i do know a lot of trails that i used to do in my old truck having a jeep just opens up the possibilitys

not very many people around Thomas if you go to the side where the lake has dried up theres a ton of places to go that only a jeep will make it through and a few good places to climb rocks also by the river theres a trail that runs by it you can go muddin there what cabin did ya'll have? we might already know each other

CubbyXL7 I am from Odessa, but we used to go to Big Spring all the time. My grandfather had a cabin on Lake Thomas. My other grandfather would take me up there, and we would watch the jets flying in and out of Webb AFB.

Your pic you posted in another thread is the same as your avatar, I think, so it leads to the question I have which is where is that and what kind of wheelin' opportunities do you have around there? Anything out near Lake Thomas?

Ruff Rider heres the breather housing i got

busemans ok, will try and put the carb in a box tomorrow. i don;t think anything is going on tomorrow. if i can get it packaged up, i will drop it in the mail. if i do get it sent, i will let you know for sure so you can look for it
05-22-2012 01:07 AM
Ruff Rider i go through lamesa every now and then havent been there since the last farm auction back in april
05-19-2012 02:22 PM
maxdout I live in Lamesa
05-19-2012 08:39 AM
busemans yes, if it fit the 2150, it fits the 2100. they have the same bolt pattern. your intake is a small two barrel bolt pattern so you will probably have to do some grinding to get the adapter to fit the intake. if i remember right, i had to grind the adapter holes a little bit or hte bolt wouldn't screw in. i think you are also going to need a throttle cable but that is easy to get because the generic one at any parts store works, i am using one and have used it for each carb i tried. you will also need a platic vacuum t kit because you are going to need to redo your lines to only two lines

pm me your address so i can find out how much to ship this carb over to you. probably won't be until next week that i find out though because today is topless day and tomorrow i have to cut my big yard and my parents bigger yard so i will be cutting grass all day on the rider
05-19-2012 12:09 AM
Ruff Rider is that a 2 barrel carb? is it a 2100 or a 2150? oreillys carb adapter p#1937 fits a 2150 still looking for the 2100
05-19-2012 12:01 AM
Ruff Rider very cool much appreciated ill see what i can find lol told ya it was bad
05-18-2012 10:21 PM
busemans holy cow!!! man, you need a carb adapter and one of the carbs i have in the shed. that looks like a stock or replacement stock carb. no wonder it runs so bad. you need to take that thing off and throw it away, far away. wow.

search for the part number for hte adapters to put a motorcraft on and then once you find them, i will try and send you one of the spare carbs i have
05-18-2012 06:08 PM
Ruff Rider here is a pic of it i believe its a holly ive got the breather housing for the original carb thats supposed to go on it i think they come with a carter
05-18-2012 05:41 PM
busemans me too, my previous cherokee was camo and people always stopped and asked me questions about it.

what carb do you have now? i have tons of carbs laying in the shed
05-18-2012 05:35 PM
Ruff Rider it needs a new carburetor, wish i could afford to make it fuel injected but at the moment i cant even afford a used carburetor, i need to put some new shocks and some new bumper stops i had 2 of them fall off and some brakes lol other than that its pretty good after i get all that done i plan on doing a little bondo and repainting it high gloss black might even add a little camo to it lol i like camoflauge
05-18-2012 04:49 PM
