Lineman827 just not my day i guess. today im smokin ribs & loin.. stayin outta trouble ....lol
05-27-2012 09:41 AM
srad600 Ive been out with many guys with NO fenders. I regularly go out with 2 XJs with none.
05-27-2012 09:31 AM
Lineman827 like i said, i know im on the wrong side of the rule... thats why as soon as he pulled out of the hidin spot ( cuttin my wife off by the way, she had to lock up her brakes to not t-bone him @10mph) i pulled right over and put my hands up on the cage so he could clearly see me. i gave him respect, he was still a tool, but didnt give me a tix, just attitude

thnx 4 the compliment on my jeep. i obviously need to add a few things, like flares lmao

Rayko Nice jeep. No offense but I'm surprised you didn't get pulled over on the hway, on the way to Wharton. Man, you have no coverage over your tires.

Lineman827 heres a better pic of my front fenders.

Lineman827 ok, makes sense, theyre pretty flat lmao. prob gonna leave them on the front. i saw a set of bushwhackers.on quadratec last night i like, but damn, dont like the $429 price tag. they are flat black, but look like they will.cover most of my tires. i think i just ran into a d bag assertin his authority on a holiday wknd

Flat fenders. Pockets are the big bushwacker type that you and I really need. I have flats like you. At least it looks like that from your AVI pic.

Lineman827 no, tube fenders, think they are referred to as pocket fenders ( sorry i just bout the jeep. ) im guessin about 3"-4" if tire are exposed. ive had it about a month, my buddy i bought it from built it & drove it like it is for 2yrs @least. i prob passed a dozen troopers & locals drivin 40 min to get there, was there for 10 min & got hassled. like i said, im wrong, but the arrogance pisses me off. "i cant have u runnin around in here kickin up rocks" i was goin about 5 mph.

I almost put a 1ton in the back of my Tj when I just swapped axels with this guy but I didnt think it would end up to be worth the price and trouble AT THIS TIME.

Is there going to be a HP30 for sale when this happens because if so Ill take it!

Lineman827 xj on 40s? nice. goin w/8"lift & some cuttin?

Mudboy one tons and 40s a comin for the gfs cherokee.
05-24-2012 07:06 PM
srad600 The d30 is a little better supposedly but not for 35s either. I had a d30 go on me before my d35 did.

The combo Im working on building is a ford 8.8 out of a an explorer(disc brakes too) and a HP d30 out of 95-99 Cherokees.
05-24-2012 05:08 PM
Lineman827 hopefully the h/d axles will help me a bit. i think they are made by yukon
05-24-2012 05:05 PM
Lineman827 hmmmmmmm gd 2know thanks. how bout the d30, guess the same issues? if my $$ tree blooms ill def. think about upgradin. i see & hear alot about the d44. hopefully i wont have to drag it outta the woods b4 then lol
05-24-2012 04:52 PM
srad600 The d35 is considered and I guess you could say proven to be a very weak axel for a few reasons. Its said to not be able to handle larger tires let a lone 35s. Ive been on mine for over a year with 307s and now 410s. I dont wanna go to the 4.88s I need for fear of breaking it easier with the more power making it to the ground. DEF cant lock it with 35s. Other then that I feel like if you know its your weak point and dont push it too hard youll be ok for a while. Every jeep and every scenario is different tho. Rock climbing and too much off chamber stuff would be bad and NEVER let it "bounce". If your loosing traction to the point of hopping and bouncing your going to break it. The worst part is since its a c clip design youll be stuck out there dead in your tracks with a wheel falling off most of the time. lol.

I have a plan for me if that ever happens tho. lol.
05-24-2012 04:39 PM
Lineman827 williamstown. my buddy i bought the jeep from built it up. he did 95% of the work himself. im not real machanical...lol i know just enough to know to use a good mechanic lmao

im real new to the whole jeep thing.... is there a prob w/the d35? im not runnin lockers,as a bit of an amature, i figured lockers would give me a false sense of security.

i havent had it sunk yet, or stuck for that matter. i like mud, sand, and the whole off road in the woods thing. i really have no interest in rocks or climbin anything, esp. since im not real mechanical or rich, i dont wanna break alot of stuff.
05-24-2012 04:31 PM
srad600 Yeah if I saw yours I wouldve remember it/noticed it. lol.

Another TJ pushin his luck on the D35 with 35s, I dig it! lol. We will def have to meet up out there, Im always looking for more wheeling buddies.

I just noticed the one post, and that silver Jeep wasnt with us. Im mad there was another group out there that I didnt run into lol.

Where you from?
05-24-2012 04:23 PM
Lineman827 saw quite a few nice rigs man, a few so nice i wouldnt wanna wheel em...lmao ive got a 4" lift, cut out fenders w/35x12.5 kevlar mtr's smitty winch and bumper. dana 30 & dana 35 w/4.88s, i also have the matchin rear fenders just havent had em put on yet. i have spent so much imaginary $$$$ its not funny lol
05-24-2012 04:20 PM
Lineman827 i noticed last mem. day wknd the rangers were really out bustin balls about stayin on roads& legal trucks, at least on the atsion side anyway
05-24-2012 04:19 PM
srad600 I gotcha. My wife remembers seeing a red TJ with a soft top and roof rack at one of the Kayak spots but nothing that looks like your cig. I was out there with my green TJ on 35s with out my doors and windows(smitty bumper, winch black rampage top etc) a white YJ on 35s (completely topless) a few JKs 2 red I think and a black one and a black cherrokee.
05-24-2012 04:11 PM
Lineman827 my tj, was parked.off in the woods, easy to overlook, lol wanted to get out of the way of the "wheelers" whike we were kayakin
