Yes I did see that warn winch with the compresser, I dedcided to stick to a dedicated winch and have a portable compressor instead plus the winch with the dual function is quite big and it would've stuck up atleas half way up my grill...too bulky IMO!

hayhonker If it sticks, lube it!
LOL
But yeah...listen to Jimbo. Don't lube your wheel studs.

Loctite blue green or red, regular grease, lithium grease, anti-seize, oil, dry-lube, paraffin wax, teflon tape, Grade 8 vs stainless, with lock washers, with concave washers, with a tension spring, with nylock insert, titanium bolt in a stainless helicoil in an aluminum heat sink, etc etc etc. What a topic this could become!

JIMBOX If you broke new bolts, because the nuts seized ---then they were either corroded, or you got the wrong nuts--

You should never put oil on bolts--then the torque values are "KAPUTT" or the Nylocks, don't Nylock-

In some cases you might wanna use some "BLUE" LOCTITE--nothing else !!

I sure hope you don't have any trouble with your wheel studs and lug nuts !!

Good liuck

Here's a piece of advice nobody asked for
Give the hood latch mounting bolts a couple drops of 3-in-1 oil or a squirt of WD-40 so something before threading on the nylock nuts.
I installed mine last month and the nuts seized half way down the bolt. I broke the bolts in half trying to back the nuts off.
Quadratec came through with excellent service and sent me a whole new package. I then oiled the threads and everything went well.
It might have been a fluke, but I'd hate for you to go through the same thing.
Cheers!
Ok thanks for the tip...I will be sure to do that!
