The 52593 is the cable style bikini you can only use it conjunction with the door surrounds that come with the soft top. It basically has a cable that pulls back over the surrounds and creates a tighter fit if you have your doors on and less flapping all the time than the regular non cable style bikini-

Here's a link to another thread where there are pictures of the cable style bikini

Tx. I will check it out. So sounds like I want the 52593 for the best fit. Because mine came with a soft top I guess that means I have the door surrounds. Appreciate your post. I will check the pics.

Morris 4 X 4 said they would contact Bestop Monday and see which one is for my jeep and why. My jeep came with a soft top.

Love it so far. Sure it's noisier than the hardtop, but it's fine for me even at highway speeds (no excessive flapping). I like a clean look, and usually just run open with a duster. Then put the bikini on for a bit of protection. Note if you want the bikini to be liveable in wet conditions, you *need* the door surrounds, otherwise be prepared to get drenched as the pooled water sluices through the gaps.

Zarkstrife Thanks for the help. Ill get the mopar set then. What a pita.

CMEvans79 Looks like you have the wrong door surrounds... The surrounds you need are the ones with the lip that that plastic piece kind "Snaps" into. kinda like these (but this is a TJ)

CiDZillA I ran the Bikini/Windjammer/Duster combo for a while and to me it looks like you have the Bestop Door Surrounds when you actually need the Mopar ones. The Bestop ones do not have the channel that you need to fold the black plastic strip from the Bikini in to.

I had to buy this to make my set up work correctly.

MOPAR 82209936 - MOPAR® Sun Bonnet, Tonneau & Windscreen Combination Adaptor Kit for 07-09 Jeep® Wrangler with Hardtop - Quadratec

I know it says for 07-09 but I drive an '10 and it worked just fine.

Vin exactly, but the bikini for the '10s and newer don't connect to the door surround. The '07-'09s wrap around like the soft top side windows do to attach to the door surround.

rics1997 Need pics of the bikini top were it meets the door surround and the door surround channel to get a better idea. There are just too many door surrounds and two tops to make a reasonable guess without some good pics of each

Zarkstrife I bought it from a fellow forum member, his JK is a 10. The door surrounds I got stated that they are ment for cable style soft tops which is the new system updated in 10 as well.

Vin What year is your Bikini top meant for? The '07-'09s are different from the'10-present.

Bestop Bikini and Bestop Door Surround problem

So I finally got all the parts together for my summer combo. Bestop duster (love it), Wraparound windjammer and bikini. I have been running it for a few weeks until I had money to buy door surrounds. I only have a hard top so I need this combo to be as waterproof as possible. I ordered the bestop JK door surrounds for my 12 2door. I double checked with q-tec to make sure they would work with the bikini and I was informed they would.

I installed the door surrounds but I can not get the bikini to attach to the top part of the door surround. Is there something I am missing? Does the bestop surrounds even work with the bikini?

Thanks for the Help.
