I purchased new wrangler in May. Started hearing tick in left cyl. head at about 700 miles. Mfg. date is 12/2011. I thought could this possibly be normal? By the time I got to the dealer I had about 1400 miles on it. Dealer said they dont hear anything, sounds normal. It became the only thing i could here, It started to drive me nuts. Called dealer, mechanic @ dealer confirmed valve train noise. Called Chrysler to open a case. I am not happy. After 2 weeks and a lot of phone calls, problem is being adressed. Dealer has been very cooperative. Just wanted to get it out there. Ticking is not normal, and Chrysler should bend over backwards to take care of us. I have a Grand caravan as a loaner (rental paid for by Chrysler) with a 3.6. It rips and is quiet.
