JeepWranglerNation We are really happy that we got this jeep.. Not just for the fact that we missed it but it came with a tow package.. I can't say what the gearing is.. I do know it has allot of power and less speed which intern forces us to slow down and we rather enjoy it that way.. Thou I have had it up to 80.. I doubt I could or want to squeeze anymore out of it. It's just fine like it is.

Afmcronnie The 3.73 gear works out to @14% more torque, you lose @11% with the bigger tires. Plug in the extra weight, it's a wash.

pluke the 2 Not much difference. Especially if you got a manual tranny with 321s

Gear ratio question

I have a new 2012 JK unlimited and was wondering how much difference there really is in actual torque when it gets to the ground between a 3.21 rear end with 30 inch tires and a 3.73 rear end with say 33 inch tires.
