oliver_jeep Ill be honest and tell you my buddy did the install but I watched a bit and he had absolutely no problems. Didn't take very long at all once it was all figured out.

Detroit TruTrac on D44 Rear 2012 JKU Bolt Size Issue

Just an FYI for anyone looking to put a Detroit TruTrac in a 2012 JKU. The bolt holes on the TruTrac are drilled for 3/8 and 7/16 and the ring gear bolt are 1/2. This TruTrac is 61 Rockwell Fully Hardened Steel. In other words you are screwed if you think you can drill it out without issues. Ended up having to have an EDM machine to size the holes to 1/2.

Just an FYI for everyone. I know many people re-gear and most aftermarket gears are 3/8 or 7/16 but this is for the stock Ring Gear.
