strider_mt2k Seems like changing the system in any way is a sure fire recipe for drone based on the stuff I read about it.

Braveheart12JK I installed a cat back Rugged Ridge dual outlet stainless exhaust system. When I did this I also cut out the resonator and replaced it with straight pipe. It has a bit of a drone at hwy speeds with some throttle, but I like the sound it added to the tailpipes. Sounds much more V8 like than prior to removing the resonator. I like a loud exhaust however.

Can I get my five minutes back? That thread was useless.

Skidding or removing '12 resonator and muffler

The exhaust resonator on the '12 model hangs down below the frame rail an inch or so. If that thing gets whacked, it looks like it could take a whole lot of my factory exhaust with it. That might ruin my offroad vacation.

Has anyone replaced it with straight pipe (and what did it sound like)?

Has anyone skidded it?

Also, does the rugged ridge muffler skid work with a receiver? #18003.31
