2013 build out was July 19. 2014 launch on the 22nd.

These are the dates listed in the 2014 information thread by a long time jeep insider who always provides accurate information. I am simply reposting what he told us.

Middle of July. That is the usual model change time. Not exact but I hope that helps.

Ask him to go half way. 3 hours of your time is worth something. Buying it from them saves you 200 miles

The spreadsheet on page one should still be active, or you can see invoice pricing on Edmunds or other websites. Jeep doesn't have any big year end incentives for the Wrangler, so good luck!

1% under invoice (affiliate pricing through tread lightly) is a good place to start, but you might be able to do better due to the model year end.

YES! But, beware, they might give you numbers that they will say already accounted for that when you do bring it up.

I was wondering about sold units. I asked that in another thread and someone misunderstood my question.

Your correct on that, i've made countless offers for a few 10A models and none of the dealers here in florida will budge on pricing. so by the way their trying to do business and get top dollar for the 10A models, i am now ready to wait a 2014 model. i might even possibly order one, but no way in hell will i pay close to $50 for a jeep wrangler rubicon....

Thinking about going to other dealerships to get an idea on what they'll give me also to use as some leverage to get the best deal.
When I ordered my 10A, I traded in my truck and I had a value in mind. The dealership appraised it, and gave me their number ... which was exactly 2000$ below the number I wanted. I was pretty honest about it and told them the number I had in mind. After a little push and pull, the finance manager asked me if that difference was going to hold things up / derail the deal and I told them if they came up, I would sign the sale agreement right then and there.

I walked out with a signed purchase agreement.

$270 off of MSRP is ridiculous. That dealer doesn't want your business, IMHO. If you're anywhere near Chicago, I would recommend forum member Pat @ Fields Motors.

Chizzy Thanks for the quick input guys.

I've been doing more work on my end and I'm starting to think I'll just drive a little(few hundred miles) to get the best deal. Just looking at online prices it seems as if I can do much better. Working with Pat would be great, but I think it's a bit too far. I'm in Central Arkansas.

Any other advice is welcome, I'll post with updates and probably more questions. Thanks again.

I agree, look into Tread lightly, that will give you a bigger discount and leave a small profit for the dealer too. A fair deal IMHO. And indeed contact Pat if your dealer doesn't accommodate your TL discount.

I've been working with a dealer locally. Started running things like trade-in value on my truck yesterday. I'm trying to get a base sport model so I can do mods myself, and honestly because it's what I can afford. Power would be nice, but not willing to go to Sport S to get it unless they give me a serious deal. They showed me a discount of $270 in the numbers they ran, and explained that it would be a low discount, with no wiggle room, simply because we were going for a base model. Made sense to me, but is this true? I've been scouring the web for years looking at jeeps and it seems like I always find random dealers who give more like $1k off MSRP, even though they are base models.

I was also curious on negotiation of the trade-in offer. I would say it was more fair-lowball on their part, probably keeping in mind how bad I want a jeep, and obviously they need to make money. I also got to see an anvil 10A in person for the first time. Great color, trying my best to not pull the trigger in case they open it up for all wrangler models early in the 2014 life cycle.

Thanks in advance.

It's as close to true canvas as we are going to get vs the vinyl type top of the 2010's. It's nicer, easier to clean and does an amazing job of killing down the sounds of the highway.
