|JDsDream||I have no idea how accurate my quage is and don't trust it. I fill up when my tripometer hits 200 miles.|

|Soccerghst09||yeah, i figure my tank is 15 gallons, since last time i filled up as soon as the light turned on, and it got about 10 gallons in, so i'm sure i can drive while the light is on, since there should be about 5 more gallons left...thanks for the replies! now i just need to change my brakes, and start saving money to make my girly jeep more badass|

|zeprider25||i filled mine up one time, get in the jeep start her up and it said 3/4. So I get out pump more gas and it starts blowing out because its full. The gauge seems to work most of the time but I make sure I fit in 15 gallons at least if I'm on empty.|

|530ktm||Nothing unusual about this as gas gauges are not very accurate. This has been posted many times in the past. Most likely, when it says you have only a 1/4 tank or less of gas, you probably have more.|

it's a 19 gallon tank .. should go to the right of the full marker by about 1/8"
have noticed that the gauges tend to stick (might be the float) .. had a case where I went from 3/4 tank to 1/4 tank between morning and afternoon then back to just above 1/2 tank on the drive home (after a stop and restart)

Hey, so I filled up my jeep '98 tj yesterday. it was about half empty, but saw cheap gas so decided to fill it up. I checked this morning, and my gauge a little less than a 1/4 of the gas has been used. I just filled it up, and hadnt drove more than 1 mile, and it already says its 3/4 tank left. There isnt a leak, so i was wondering if there is a built in wiggle room, with the gauge. Thanks for the replies
whats the full cap. for my tj?
