mine was less than an inch when in 4lo so no need to trim

Tyewilly Yeah, now that I think about it, that would keep it from going into 4wd anyway. Maybe something fell into the hole that the front of the rod fits in keeping it from sliding forward into 2wd.

The pic shows 2wd position. If you are 180 out, your linkage will hit the back of the case and not allow the 2wd position
this helps alot thanks

That could be an issue on the earlier models. Pull the plug and watch it.. But I don't think the case would go on if this needed the mod.

cmecha Novak is coming but can't shift by hand

ellman605 I'd personally DC the front driveshaft and then switch to a novak. I hate the stock linkage.

cmecha no one?

Jerry Bransford I have no idea but if you're worried about having to drive it to work in 4Hi, I would just remove the front driveshaft until you can get it figured out.

after sye i have no 2wd

i have a 2006 TJ just installed a RR SYE and can't shift in to 2wd. I ensured that the spring was in and the shift mode ring was the correct way. i tried to shift the transfer case by hand but could not get it in to 2wd. we also removed the transfer case split it to make sure nothing was wrong but still could not shift it to 2wd by hand. i'm at a loss and do not know what to do next.
