BakedInMN I ended up doing it manually. It is a PITA but at least it's all in order now. Changing 148 entries took > 4 hours...

RHB Song Sort Order

I have the RHB (430N) Radio in my Jeep, and it has an annoying little feature that I can't figure out how to fix/change (I read the HDD section of the radio manual, with no luck).

I purchased the MP3 version of the Pink Floyd Discovery Box Set (from Amazon). I transferred that to a memory stick and uploaded it to the RHB. All the songs are there but, when I select the album (Discovery Box Set), it plays the songs in alphabetical order instead of the normal album order (Songs are not listed by the original album name on the Discovery Box Set, but are in the correct chronological order based on album releases, and track order from the original recordings, So I have to select the entire box set as an individual album).

Unfortunately, the Discovery box set is not organized real well, and it doesn't have the actual "album" names for each song. For example; Money should be track 6 on the CD album version of DSOTM (Dark Side of the Moon) (Side 2 Track 1 for my generation), but is just listed as "06. Money", on the Discovery Box Set . The problem is, there are more tracks in the set that are the 6th track (06. Mother, 06. Comfortably Numb, 06. Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict, etc.). When played through iTunes, it plays them in the correct order, from the first song on the first album to the last song on the last album. Which means it is indexed somehow, and the files contain the correct information to be played in their original order. However, the RHB plays only in alphabetical order and not in album order (song order from the uploaded source). Which means you go from one track on an album to another track on a different album.

Short of editing and renaming the tracks in a pseudo numerical/alphabetic order, is there a way to make the RHB play in "album" order and not "alphabetical" order?

I haven't put a lot of time and/or effort into this, and as I stated it is an annoyance more than a "problem". I'll probably just start editing the song names to get them in the right "Play" order, but I still think there should be some sort of option to have them play in their original order (the way it was uploaded and originally arranged).

Just looking to see if there is an "easy" way to do it or not.

I assume it is probably the way the "box set" is arranged that is causing the problem, as CD's that I copy to the HDD play in the correct order. So I'm just throwing it out there to see if anyone else has run into this or not.

Thanks!
