jeepersandcreepers When I had the 401 I ran the Edelbrock set up and had very good results. The Edelbrock is more $$$ but I really like their set up because it came with the distributor and manifold.

daddyjeep I'm running the Howell TBI on my Jeep and highly recomend it. Winters are a little rough here and it always fires right up. with the carb I had to sit in the driveway for ten minutes before I could drive it.

Try this:Howell EFI
I have used there inj kit on a 258 and loved it! My boss runs there kit on his 360 with no problems. Very thorough kits, pre made wiring harness, all plugs are labeled. Easy and fun saturday project. Hardest parts: plumbing in the supplied fuel pump and welding in the bung for the o2 sensor. All parts supplied in the kit. If you have stuff like a cam or high flow intake and exhaust they can burn you a new chip for the computer, no problem. If you get it spend the extra money to get the heated o2 sensor option.

TheJeepMan4804 i would suggest getting the hardware off a big block, the 401 will required too much fuel from 350 hardware. plus the fuel maps will be close to what you will need. i would always rather have the computer work to lean a motor out then try to work to richen it up. tbi in not a whole lot different then a carb in the way it operates. it is actually very simple compared to mpi. if that made anysense to you then good if not sry cause i know what i am trying to say but sometimes i have problems spitting it out...

AMC 401 fuel injection

hi there!

i'm so tired of the carb, so i'm looking for a fuel injection, but i'm not totally convinced for the kind.

anybody runs with a fuel injection on his AMC?

i would avoid the edelbrock EFI, too expensive, so what do you think for a gm throttle and hardware of a 350?

any help will be apprecciated!
