My experience with Don Jackson CJD was much different than the previous poster.
My family bought 2 new Wranglers from Don Jackson over the past 6 months. This was the easiest buying experience I have ever had.
We negotiated over e-mail, came to terms (which I am happy with) and were in and out to close the deal in 30 minutes.

Buyer beware I guess!

Do NOT use Don Jackson CDJ south of ATL.
I made a deal on a jeep on their lot and asked to put a deposit over the phone...was picking it up as soon as I got back from my trip (5 days.).. salesman tells me that it is not needed as they don't play games like that. I called the night before to confirm a pick up...salesman said he would personally pick me up at the airport. Talked to the GM and he said the JK was sold 2 days ago. I told him that I tried to put a deposit down and the salesman said "we don't play games here. It will be waiting for you saturday." Jeep was indeed sold out from under me. I was pissed.
I will never have a good word for that place. Buyer beware.

|56cbr600rr||I know this is an old thread. But a shout out for Ed Voyles. I bought a JKU 24S today for 8.5% under invoice. All over the phone. Great transaction.|

|krawdaddy||got mine from Ed Voyles also. No hassle deal. I just walked in and asked for a salesman. He showed us two (test drove a manual and auto) answered a few questions, seemed knowledgeable, then said "I won't hassle you guys anymore, but will be inside if you need me" Emailed a few times, over a few weeks, drove up and ordered, 2 months later picked up.|

Good Luck with your search!

|DaveLions||Jasper Jeep in Ellijay, GA! Ed Voyles was going to charge us $700+ in dealer fees (document fee, ETF fee, etc). Jasper Jeep charges no dealer fees and the interest rate is straight buy rate, it was 3% lower than the rate Ed Voyles gave us. They have a smaller selection, but I would rather deal with them anyday.|

|kappaknight||I know this is an old thread, but I figured I'd add my experience here. I bought a Command Green JKU from Ed Voyles in Marietta. Worked with Royce who was awesome. Gave me pretty much the exact deal I asked for. I'm very happy with the purchase and it's also my third purchase w/ the Ed Voyles family of dealerships.|

|GSDgirl||Thought I would share an update. After a horrible experience at Mall of Ga DCJ, I went with the dealer in Athens. They beat the offer at Mall of Ga by $1400. And, the salesmen I worked with, Dennis, even took time to call me on his off day to make sure I was happy. They have a customer for life.|

I am leaning toward using the dealer in Athens. They have been advertising that they will beat any other dealer/ trade in.
I think I am also more comfortable driving it home down 78, vs traffic everywhere else. Lol. I will breath easier once it is sitting in my driveway.
Anyone have any experience with them?

I bought my 2012 fairly early, when the word was not completely out on the 2012 models. Some dealers were willing to talk about it, but most were not. Ed Voyles in fact tried aggressively sell me 2011's, and would not discuss anything over phone or email.
Finally ended up getting mine from Douglas County Dodge Jeep, and only went in to the dealership to pickup the Jeep. I exchanged emails with their internet manager, and told him my expectation including % under invoice... and he was like, "how about I do 1 additional % under that??" Everything was done by email/phone... and it was great experience.
I'd highly recommend.

|bflank||We bought our Wrangler from Mall of Georgia Chrysler Jeep. Went in to look & told them upfront we were not going to buy today. The salesman spent time with us, took us for a test ride, and made sure we left with a quote. We researched the price and came back about 2 weeks later to make the buy. I have no complaints at all, would recommend them and our sales guy.|

|MotorCityBear||I did a lot of research, price etc and bought from Ed Voyles. Best price, no BS and they had it in 6 weeks as they said they would. I worked with Jeremy and did the deal over the phone and email before I went in. I would buy from them again.|

Am planning on getting my first wrangler as soon as Commando is available. I am hoping someone can help me with a few questions. I have been trying to figure out which dealer to go with. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or, how about dealers that I should stay away from?
I couldn't find another thread with this information, so I thought I would ask.(if such a thread already exists, please point me in the right direction)
Finally, has anyone recently purchased a jeep and paid the "title tax" instead of the sales tax? I was wondering how that went and if dealers were implementing that yet. Seems like a good deal.
Thanks in advance and can't wait to order! :-)
