That's what I was afraid of - I imagine if you're going to buy a Wrangler, you're going to buy a Wrangler whether gas is $1 or $10
As far as the '09 models, what's the Jeep release schedule? When do they usually put the next MY on the lots? I've not found a lot of information on them, but it doesn't look like there's a whole lot of changes in store - though I did see something about a trailer sway dampening system. Are there typically any sorts of price drops on the previous year's models when new ones come out; especially when it's not a major redesign?

|PastorSteve||Not really. The Wrangler sells well no matter what. The dealership I just purchased mine through had mine at 2,000 below sticker and a 4-door over 5,000 below sticker because they had been at the dealership the longest. Good deal for me, but no major deals. More dealing on the big V8 models.|

|BretStep||Been looking at them alot and have not found anyone offering good deals on Wranglers. They will give about 10,000 off a Grand Cherokee Overland, but wont budge more than a grand on a new wrangler. Most of it has to do with the fuel mileage difference and current prices as well as the market being overcrowded with Grand Cherokees.|

Good time to buy?
Hey, everyone, I've been cruising this forum a lot lately, because I've been obsessing over finally getting a Wrangler. Always loved the little beasts, and after switching from a Cherokee as my daily driver to an Acura TSX, I'm starting to lust after the 4-door Sahara. There's a lot of things I'll miss about the TSX, but my eye starts to wander every time I have to struggle to fit something in the trunk or swap out for the Cherokee to tow something (still hanging around seeing light usage at my mom's place in Jersey).
My question is this: has anyone seen any good deals from Jeep dealers trying to unload them? I've heard Chrysler's sales are down across the board, and I imagine gas prices can't be helping the Jeep line. I'm also wondering what the status is on the '09s... I'd imagine the prices on the '08s will go south a little once they '09 is on the lot, but is there anything that'd be a must-have in the '09 trim?
I've got a year left on my TSX lease (ugh, will finance next time), but I might talk to the huge all-brand dealer up here about an early buyout if possible and they can put together an attractive deal on a Wrangler.
Anyway, apologies for the long post, but I guess I had a lot to say. Looking forward to hearing what you all think.... Thanks!
