|fatmanny1901||I can only wish we had those near me! All I've ever fished for was jack pickerel and walleye. I tried big mouth bass once but I only ended up with one about three inches long|

|fatmanny1901||I just inherited all my grandpa's fishing gear. I'm not 100% sure what he has, since I haven't actually received it yet. But I was looking into a new reel. His is probably 30+ years old and, just in case it's beat up, I'd like to know what my options are. It's a spinning real, but I'm interested in a bait reel. Any suggestions or information for me as to what to look for?|

|WVULax22||Between work, my Jeep, and my girl any time I have left is dedicated to fly fishing for trout. Here's some pictures from last summer. I fished most of the legendary NY Catskills streams in addition to my local waters. Also spent some time in Nevada fishing the Truckee River for big brown trout and rainbows. Pictures from last summer below...|

Due to it being fluke tournament season, my efforts have been in fishing for them rather than running offshore for the pelagics. Here's some from the last few trips:
Fish up to 7.25 pounds. The injured fluke was from a bluefish bite. The bluefish became bait for a high 6 pound class fish

|SurfKaster||I'd like to try my hand at tuna. Probably easiest to post the vid on youtube & link it.|

On another note, my friend and I went on his boat yesterday. We were going to go fluking but ultimately decided to run to the inshore bluefin grounds. Ended up going 0-2 on tuna and 7-15 on brown shark. The first bluefin was on for 45 min. It was on my friends fluke setup. 20 pound braid and 20 pound leader. The 180 pound swivel broke. I got some of the fight on film. Is there a way to post video on here? For a split second I got color on video. After watching the vid, according to my friends who regularly fish tuna, the fish was every bit of 54" and 100 pounds. While we were not able to boat the fish, I'd still say we did quite well for having no tuna experience between both of us and it was by far the most fun day I've had in quite a while.

|CJR305||My SR year college roommate called me up and said he wanted to go fishing and catch some stuff he never caught before. I've never seen someone so excited to catch a skate and sea robin. He also caught his first fluke and I finally took the Carolina Skiff out fishing (work boat) and put some blood on the deck. Pics are the first fish on the skiff and today's pic from the weigh in. We had 7 keepers to 4.3 pounds and 2 sea bass. The other pics are just some of my favorites from the two trips. Driving by Barnegat Light in the skiff and cruising home today in the Boston Whaler|

Fluke/flounder are probably one of my favorite fish to eat. Looks like fun.
I posted that fish on another forum & it turns out to be an Atlantic threadfin. As common as they appear to be in the surf I'm surprised I've never caught one.
