CJ-John Yes factory tach and clock, the clock doesn't work but I may try and locate another. took it out for a drive last night. it wanders a bit but I'll check tie rod ends today and order a new steering stabilizer. Motor has good power and I do think it's a granny low first gear! 2nd thru 4th are all that's needed on the road (1st is to lower to bother with) I'm going to work on it's road manners 1st. long before it's off road stuff. So far so good!

Glad you finally got it. Keep posting updates and pics. Looks to be in very nice shape. Also see the factory tach I think in the dash.

CJ-John Finally it shows up now the fun begins! Started by changing the tires and wheels, checked brakes as I went. Front brakes shot, right front ball joints gone. I got the ball joints replaced, I have to wait until tomorrow for the right rotors and pads. pulled the old wiring left over from the plow setup. pulled the hard top off. Now it's starting to look like the toy it's to be!

That's Ok maybe it's my fault for taking the lowest quote you get what you pay for! but so far it seems like it's going to all work out.

The broker said "posting the ad to be picked up was all he needed to do to full fill his job if no one picked it up that didn't matter" I wish I could make money without accomplishing anything at all! But I will let the world know who he and his company are if he doesn't get my jeep shipped!

CJ-John Yes I thought about the carb issue, I'm not sure how much it will act up. I have driven the mountains a couple of times, yes there something else. I'm not worried about the up hills it's going down that worries me! This jeep has lived it's whole life at 8,000ft. So I may have to rejet along the way or run with the choke on a little. I'm still hoping the broker comes through for me.

I just came home saturday from buying a TJ in Glenwood springs. The mountains are crazy west of denver. Beware in the CJ....no crap.

One thing to think about is the elevation will be I'm guessing 7-9000 feet. Denver is 5k or so and by the time you get into Kansas you are way on down there. I am not sure how that will be on the carb.

Where is it located? I am assuming on the west side of denver.

I'm still waiting fro my CJ to be shipped and or I fly to Colorado and drive it out! So the only thing I can work on are my new Dura trac's and the used wheels I have ready for it. I like the old style stuff so here they are. And here's my jeep sitting 1850 miles away! can you say road trip?
