I figured there was something simple. I've got the nuts off and bolts loose already, but wasn't sure about dome light. I'm going to go take them off right now so I can feel the breeze this afternoon!!!
Hope I did the right thing by purchasing the manual over the automatic. I have 2 cherokee's with automatics, but I figured for screwing around I would rather have a stick.. My daughter is going to drive it to school as well. She is not afraid of the stick and willing to learn.

|jjseel||Welcome to the family! Take the nuts off the hinges and lift up...pretty much it, unless they are stuck, then a little lubrication, work the door back and forth, while lifting. The fuse for the lights is behind the glove compartment, it is #4. The lights will still work, you just have to turn them on manually.|

I just purchased my first wrangler...
2003 TJ sport with 82000 miles. Have a question about taking off the doors. Have both tops so I have the bigger doors. What's the best way of taking them off and disabling the dome lights?? Is there a good trick without messing things up??
