|1BLKJP||I'd say you might've dropped a solenoid also. You can try to OHM it out to see if the solenoids are getting any power.|

it sounds like a burned relay in the solenoid box.
which diameter has a 18 gauge cable?
my stock winch cable was 16 square millimeters. and with heavy load the winch became slow and the cable became hot. now with the 35 square millimeters cable itīs faster with heavy load and the cable stays cold.

so here is whats going on. i bought my winch from the guy i bought my jeep from ( friend) and he said it was in a wreck and was put back together. but it worked fine, he said he tested it in a parking lot on a tree. well. its a warn 9.5 ti
and i have just a regular battery. but when i winch and i am stuck it has alwyas bogged down heavily under load, like it was gonna quit. and today when i was on the trails i was using it cause i was under some water, and when i got up to a certain point i was in mud with my diffs happily buried in it. so my winch started to bog and i revved up well this time the winch just died...neither revers or forward worked, so i let it cool for awhile, reverse started to work but no forward. the winch is wired to a toggle switch. that i wired to the winch...i used 18 gauge wire to the terminal, and used the factory lead wires to the battery. does anyone know whats up...could it be the switch is abd, maybe i burnt a relay in the winch....i guess the motor is still good since it will reverse. anywas any help would be so appreciated!!!
