Are you happy with it? Very should have got cool overs though
Would you buy again/recommend? Yes
Did you buy anything else along with your "kit"? Hd tie rod and shocks.
Any modifications in order to install? No you don't need the exhaust spacers or y pipe.

I probably paid too much for it but I got mine when I bought my JKU from the dealer. It's a Rough Country 3.25", the wheels are ATX Slot 17" with Nitto TerraGrapplers 32.72"
I'm happy with it and it drives pretty well, but then again I only test drove other JKUs that were not lifted.

Did you buy anything else along with your "kit"? Wheels & Tires. Less backspace needed due to longer Rear Sway Bar Links. I also installed the Exhaust Spacers as an inexpensive insurance against hitting the front drive shaft on the Exhaust Crossover.

Thanks for all the great feedback, keep 'em comin! I know there is the "official review" thread, but like I mentioned, I feel the '12s are slightly unique with the exhaust issue and whatnot. Plus, being JKU specific, I feel a lot (not all) off the advertised lift numbers are geard towards 2dr. It's nice to get some real world numbers.
I have heard complaints about some lifts advertised as 3" but only 1.25" was gained, or on the other side of things, like Pluke he got more than was advertised. I think things like this are good to know, especially considering for most people a lift is a decently priced expense. If I bought a 3" lift and only gained 1.25" I would be mad, and if my state had lift laws and I bought a 3" and gained 5" I would likewise be mad.
Again, thanks to all who have added their experiences to this thread. Lets keep the real world numbers rolling in!

Don't have much to share for my JKU, but TF 2.5" BB with shock extensions -- just got it today, so can't really comment too much on it. I paid only $357 on Q. I also got Rubicon-off 18/59 springs and shocks.
Appears to be 3.5" right now, but that should settle down a bit, I imagine.
To tell you the truth, I was surprised at how much lift I got.

I'm pretty sure anything over a certain height requires that exhaust mod. I forgot what it is though.
My lift is the 4" mopar done by the dealer before I bought it. Gives me all the flex I need on the trail but is overpriced when you can get a teraflex that has a slightly better ride. Our 11 has teraflex and while not huge it does ride a little better.
If I could have chosen my kit it would've been a 3" teraflex. For one thing the difference between the 3-4 regarding clearance was so minuscule it just wouldn't be worth the extra cost if I was purchasing the parts myself. My kit goes for about $1500. We spent about $1000 on the teraflex and got a better ride.
For height comparison there's one with em nose to nose. The one with me in it, I'm 5'4" and she sits on 35's.

|dpk5139||I have a AEV 2.5" inch lift. I wanted a lift but I still had to be reasonable for I have a little kid and this is my daily driver. It feels stock still but it definitely isn't. I put 33 inch all terrain tires at 12 inches wide. I added the rugged ridge xhd front and rear bumper with the oversized tire carrier. I also added the skyjacker heavy duty steering stabilizer. It is great accept one feature. I already noticed upon purchase at stock that the v6 3.6l engine had less power than my last jeep which had the v6 4.0l engine. So with the bigger tires and beefier bumpers I find acceleration on the roads, ESP highways to be a pain. I am looking in to options now to help there... I am thinking high flow cold air intake and a throttle spacer. I have also heard about options with this including Changing the headers and the exhaust. I have a lot invested already so I am researching a lot now before I make any more changes.|

Well I was going to wait and post a review in the main review posting, but I've been waiting till after my first off road trip, which hopefully will be this weekend or next. So for a fellow crusher, here is a sneak peak...
So far I would recommend it, and the forums on AEV site are great for help on the install. I did the install myself alone, and it took about 24 hours total. I made a few mistakes and mis-read the instructions a few times which is why it took longer.
Before aFe y-pipe. Don't have an after, but its completely not an issue now.

I also bought AEV rear bumper and tire carrier; I love having the tire carrier tied into the rear door. Wheels are AEV 17" JK Savegre with 315-70R17 Goodyear Duratracs.

|BFGJKU||I just put on the Rough Country 2.5" spacer lift a few days ago. Still rides like stock. didnt put tires on yet. Still deciding on 33's or 35's. It was cheap $139 and I did it myself. Mine is a 2012 jku. Rough Country says you don't have to do exhaust spacers, but they recommend it. I ordered them since they only cost $40. I will put them on in the next couple days.|

Yes, however I am looking specifically for 2012 JKU only. No 2 dr, and nothing older than 2012 because some kits require exhaust relocation or some other type of mod ONLY required for 2012's.
I did find that thread helpful though for the most part.
