JeepGuyLJ Yeah i did put a air intake, but when i pull my window down i can hear it and its not coming form where the intake is. and you are right the spacer i put in does make a whistle sound but its the same thing im hearing.

1BLKJP Didn't you just put a new air intake also? I know that mine gets a little bit of a whistle/whine when I am accelerating at times. Could it be that an not the brakes?

JeepGuyLJ I think they just changed the front brakes, dont think they touched the rear.Im hoping that there is nothing big worng with it.

04moneypit Did they change front or rear brakes? If it was only one or the other, it could be your proportioning valve is over adjusted to one or the other. Could just be bad rotors too. I had problems with my master cylinder, it failed at about 26000mi and let me with no brakes on the highway I made it home ok, because I could still get pressure when I slammed on the pedal hard enough and I had my e-brake of course.

JeepGuyLJ Hey, yeah i think when i get up to speed like around 30 to 40 mph thats when i hear it. I think its coming from front or rear tire, so i went to the dealer and told the guy that they didnt do a good job on my jeep and he said he thinks the dealer will cover everything. My rotors wrapped twice each at 5K miles i dont know why i dont drive fast and dont brake hard. Ill try jacking up the jeep to see if i can find the problem before i take it in thank you moneypit.

04moneypit You're going to have to get more specific. Is it both F/R tires? Only when you apply the brakes? Why did the dealer change rotors and pads? Should have lasted at least 40-50000 mi? Is it at speed or does it happen any time you're moving? You could try to jack each axle up off the ground and spinning each wheel by hand to isolate it. But, brakes can cause skeaking and squealing noises even when new. Let us know what you find out.
