|YJ dad||I would go with just the lift kit. if anything needs tweaked go from there. I think you'll be happy.|

|Squeeze||Is there a scenario where I might need only front shackles or only rear shackles? Or different sizes for rear/front?|

Yeah I read on the Quadratec page that they can invert and that can mess things up. It said its an easy fix but I don't really wanna mess around with that anymore than I have to.
And okay thanks for the heads up, ill definitely do that when I get around to buying the lift!

I have kept my stock shackles on my Jeep and had no issues for the most part with them. Longer shackles tend to want to flip up on the trail and that will cause the leaf spring to arch in an un natural curve and pretty much waste it. Stick to the stock and if you still need more clearance, do as I did and trim your fender flairs. Free and easy mod.

|Squeeze||Okay, thanks. I'm new to the whole suspension thing, and I'm just trying to learn things as I go. Much appreciated!|

|4Jeepn||Not sure on the length,, but you don't need to run new shackles, at least I didn't with mine.|

RC 4" Lift: Shackles?
So I'm looking at getting the RC 4" suspension lift within the next few months, and I'm trying to figure things out before I go rushing into this. My question is, does anyone know the length of the leaf springs in the kit, or how much longer of shackles should I buy to fully utilize the new suspension..? Thanks!
