|Highvan||Great Jobs everyone! I've used that krylon camo paint for years now, that stuff works great and you can touch up rust spots years later and it blends perfect, just spray and go. I've used all the 3 of the ultra-flat colors on differerent projects and they all turned out nice! Thank you Krylon|

I gave mine a 15 minute rattle job of desert sand looks good from 50ft,,,lol
cool thing I was driving a side road next to the highway and a convoy of military vehicles painted like mine were crusing down the highway and they all gave me a thumbs up...

|87 Florida YJ||The tires are plain old 235/75R15. I try to keep everything as absolutely stock as I can so I passed on the lift and left it the way it rolled off the line 27 years ago. Same thing with the rims. I was going to replace them until I found that I could make them look new using some sandpaper and paint. I did the outside of the rims in flat black and on the inside I used the same paint as the body.|

|1993YJr||I have a few questions. What size tires and lift? I assume those are stock yj rims.|

|87 Florida YJ||I have to give all the credit to another fellow Jeeper named rmeier. I saw a picture of his ride on this forum and thought the paint was the perfect color. And it is. Almost every day someone asks if my jeep is milatary issue lol. The paint is from ARMY JEEP PARTS INC. It's #33070 LUSTERLESS WWII 1941-1945. I've never painted a jeep before but it came out perfect just using cans. I highly recommend this product if you are building a milatary ride. As far as the tires I ALSO 'borrowed' the info from rmeier. They are ROADIAN MT's which I got from Walmart of all places. At $100 a pop I couldn't be happier with them. This started as a weekend toy for Florida but soon became my daily driver. I just can't stay out of this thing. If you need any more information just ask.|

|Simmuh99902||Anmar llc from conover, NC makes the actual desert color paint for the military. Its called cummins beige laquer. I used to work for a place to paint engine parts. A significant amount of which go to the US army.|

I figured I'd chime in even though I don't have a YJ. I haven't done the outside but when I bedlined it, I used Monstaliner.
Here's my writeup.
And here are some YJ threads

|The Silver Gorilla||Looking at a lot of these jeeps for inspiration for mine. I like the grey NAVY one a lot and the sand and brown jeep! id like to know what kind of bed liners and paint you used, and how has it held up???|

Inspirational work. Thanks to all who posted. You've helped me a lot... confirming direction for my own build. BTW... who did your stencils? Pro or homemade?

you know there is an army regulation that tells you how to lay out the camo and gives you the exact color codes for painting vehicles. the design goes by vehicle type and terrain/location you are going to be in
its tech bulletin
here is the link
