NHEric I know Leeroy Jeepkins disagrees with me, but the floor jack with just a little up pressure while swinging the door back and forth a bit works every time - without fail. Just make sure to put a block of wood or something between the jack and the door so it doesn't mess it up. Also, just keep the jack as close to the hinges as you can.

I have done this SEVERAL times on SEVERAL Jeeps. Always works.

If you'd rather bust a nut trying to lift em off, go for it. Personally, I would rather "work smarter, not harder".

BigDeaner Mine had never been removed by the PO and with 13 years of rust on them, they were stuck tight. I sprayed the hinges with PB Blaster a couple of times a day for a few days and then used a floor jack and a 1'-8" piece of 2x4 under the door and (pardon the expression) jacked them off. The PB Blaster was the key for me, it sucked itself through the hinges and they popped off super easy.

blue6tj Oils and sometimes I get my buddy to lift the door and I use a rubber mallet on the bottom hinge and it usually works ok...

Leeroy Jeepkins Use Kroil, stand on the outside with the window open, reach in and grab the inside handle, while pulling up, open and close the shouldn't need a jack. If you use a jack you run the risk of bending/warping something

Doors seized

On my 06 tj cant get my doors off this year. I put a little grease on last season at the end but they are stuck on there good. I have tried penetrating oils to no avail. A floor jack with round stock but all i do is lift the jeep. Any tricks would be awesome.
