U can use your transfer case and drive shafts. There are adapters for the TC. That's what I used.

I was able to reuse my drive shafts too.

Good luck with it!

I had about $5000 into it. That is buying all top of the line parts. It could be done cheaper, but that's up to you. I am very happy with the adapters and wiring harness from Novak. I know there are others who will do it cheaper.

Getting the motor, trans, and ECU for a good price is critical. I paid $1500 for everything out of a wrecked out 2004 truck. Make sure you get the wiring harness and gas pedal assemblies!

After you get all that horse power, you're going to need better axles. I babied my stock ones for about year before doing a D44 swap with ARB lockers. Another $3500!

I have to say, it was worth every penny!

I had to put in a seperate one for my gauge. On the passenger side, towards rear there is a plug in the side of the block. You can remove that plug and screw in an additional temp sender. Then wire directly to ur gauge.

Wow it's been awhile since I have been here!

I have not done speedo and tach yet. I used Phantom II gauges for everything else and plan on putting them in for speed/tach. Just need an extra $500 bucks to buy them! Quadratech makes new dash prices to fit the custom gauges.

Jeep is running great!

I went with Stetson block huggers. I could not get the stock manifolds to work.

banger out, 5.3 in

When i did my swap i used novack for most things. but, I used painless wiring they sent me a complete harness with factory plugins.litteraly plug and play. Also explained where the reverse loock out and tork converter lockup release and VSS wires go. Good directions well worth the I think it was $300. It also allows you to install the conputer inside the jeep for better protection.

AZ WRANGLER I got mine out of an 04 pickup, its a GEN3 motor. Just make sure you don't get one with the ECO stuff on it. You don't want the computer shutting down 2 cylinders while you are trying to wheel.
Go to Novak conversions, LOTS of information there! They did a great job of converting the computer and wiring for me. They are very helpful and answer all your questions free of charge!
You can message me too, I would be happy to help out if you go for it.

I have about $4000 into the swap. I put the best of everything on, it could be done for cheaper. The key is to get a good deal on the drive train. I got the engine, trans, and computer for $1500 out of a wrecked out truck. Get it all together, it will save time and money. Get the gas pedal and control box too, the new Chevy's are computer controled.

It took me about 2 months, working mostly weekends.
