I run one metal Blitz can and one plastic water can without the lip. All I did was insert the plastic can into a jerry can holder which has the lip on the bottom so it would fit into my ORF. Pretty much any 4x4 shop that carries Blitz jerry cans will have the holder that also has a strap to hold the lipless can securely in the holder.

Is there any way you've heard of to modify it to fit the plastic ones? Really trying to stay away from the metal cans!

jeepcop1 Thanks for the suggestion on the ORF! I must not have been paying attention earlier in the post. As far as the Gerry Can I had a metal one, same leak problem. I have heard that the plastic ones have a better seal on them and don't leak unless you REALLY smack them with something. Just what I've heard though. If anyone has any experience with the plastic ones please let me know! That's the last thing I want to do is be dropping gas all over a trail! I'm not a smoker either but you never know what would happen. I've seen some burnt out rigs before because of fuel line breaks and needless to say don't want the Jeep blowing up on me because my extra petrol hit my exhaust for some reason!

One thing; when I wheel where I need extra fuel like Big Bend, TX.

I take my Gerry Cans in the trailer.

I've always been a tad leery of wheeling with additional fuel.

I can't tell you how many times I have been following behind a Jeep with a Gerry Can watching fuel leak out on the trail.

No Biggie... BUT IT KEEPS ME FROM SMOKING MY CIGARS!

Then look at the ORF recommended several times above. You can even keep your exisiting bumper as it doesn't use or rely on the bumper.

Hell mine (OR FAB) even took a 5 mph hit from behind and all that happened was it pushed the strike pin for the tailgate in 1/4"!

I went with Warn. You can buy the set up seperately which is easier on the budget like I did. I have a 33 BFG on mine. It seems to be very durable.

Scout Garvin Wilderness. I've been really happy with mine. It's a little on the expensive side but has been well worth the money spent. Check out Summit Racing for the best prices (with shipping).
