|jeepster89||i put a 4" 4wheel drive hardware suspension lift and 33x12.5x15 on mine go to 4wd.com it was super easy to put on. and the price is comparable to all the other brands.|

|HkdOnJP||^^X2 i started with a 2 inch adda leaf and 31 then i wanted more so i got a 3.5 inch superlift and 32's now i have a stroked engine in the garage ive been pricing out an 8.8 34x12.50 trxus mt's i have no front fenders no back seat i can fix scrtaches with krylon spray paint i know its not much but everyday i think of more stuff i want to do to it you will end up doing everything anyways but but why dont you try stock springs and an add a leaf or like a 2.5 inch OME lift they are supposed to ride nice or rubicon express makes a 2.5 in and they are supposed to be awesome little pricey but they cover everything you'll need|

I wouldn't go more than 2" on a lift without worrying about the TC; some get lucky.
Goodyear All-Terrane is good, stay narrow like 9.5 or 10.5 for street use.
If your front axle bearings are origional, change them while you're at it.

To lift or not to lift
I've been going over my mostly stock '94 YJ and catching up on neglected maintenance recently. 4.0 L, 5 spd, 165k miles, no lift, factory 30 and 35c axles.
I recently replaced the catalytic converter and exhaust system (Random cat, Borla exhaust added, Borla headers installed years ago). After some tweaking to get things to fit right and not rub anywhere, the YJ's running and sounding better than it has in a long time.
Now on to other things. I need new tires and shocks, and the right rear sags noticeably (still on factory springs and shocks).
So to fix the sagging and need for new shocks, I'm considering getting a mild lift kit, no more than say 2.5 inches or so. I want something simple, and don't want to get in to t-case lowering, replacing the driveshaft, or anything much more involved than replacing the old parts.
And if I'm going to get new tires, I'd want to put the lift on first, and get maybe 31" rubber.
Suggestions? Again, the primary goal is replacement of aging parts with as little fuss as possible. Getting a mild lift in the process is just icing on the cake. This is mostly a daily driver (sadly hasn't had a true off-road trip in a very long time).
I've not kept up with what brands and kits are the good ones, the bad ones, and the ugly ones.
Option 1: leave suspension alone and just get new 30" tires.
Option 2: get new shocks and tires, ignore sagging.
Option 3: get new replacement springs (no lift), new shocks, new tires.
Option 4: get mild lift (new springs and shocks) and slightly larger tires.
