AEV 3.5 problems? - American Expedition Vehicles - Product Forums
I have found that there is a lot of information out there though it does not make the decision any easier. I'm still trying to decide myself.

|hennis.6||Well I plan on front and rear bumpers with a winch, so eventually there will be added weight. I wouldnt have any problem with 35's just was unsure of any rubbin issues. My other ride is an s-10 so im new to all the fancy upgrades, and im not real tech savy when it comes to suspensions, tire size, gears and so forth.|

Stick with the AEV 2.5" DualSport if you're looking to go with 33's. I have the 3.5" AEV with 35" KM2's (which run small) and no bumpers yet, and mine definitey sits high. I'd be disappointed if I wasn't planning on adding weight with front and rear bumpers and a winch. But having said that, I think I would've been very happy with the 2.5" and 35's. I don't think you'll be happy with the 3.5" and 33's unless you've already added significant weight to the vehicle.

|hennis.6||Well it will be my daily driver for a while so it will only be occasionaly offroad for now. I dont have a problem spending what the kit costs, just want to make sure someone who already had felt it was worth it.|

|pluke the 2||Aev is great on road. But off road they aren't the best (option out there. When you regear, typically you only replace the insides of the axle. Hardcore guys replace their axles.|

AEV 3.5" lift
Im looking at lifting my jk. Ive read a lot of good things about AEV. I was wondering if anyone out there has this lift and what then think about it. Im not real sure what the whole lifting process entails. Im riding on 17" xd series wheels. Im looking to go with 33" tires and from what I read eventually i will have to mess with the gears to get back what im loosing from goin bigger. With the whole gear thing does that mean replacement of the whole axle or just the stuff inside of it. Ive know this is going to be hard on the ole wallet, but ive been dreaming of a lifted off-roading machine since i was little. I appreciate any input i can get guys......
