jrwrangler I have an OME stabilizer. IT took most ALL the little bumps out. I have been very pleased. Also have one on my Rover. Works just as well.

NY94YJ :o Sorry.....hope I did not offend! I did not know it was Restored......... You don't want a Pic of mine then..it's visible all right.........but it's just gettin all rusted up and ugly like everything else under there......... NY..whatya gonna do.

73mach1 all under the jeep is new in a certain way, frame as been sandblasted and suspension is new all over, the old stabilizer is removed, but buying a stock mount stabilzer or a diferent one is about the same price so for the same price i prefer it to be visible, will try to find other kits or pic

thanks

NY94YJ Sorry...no.

But from what you posted it sounds like what you are looking for....something Visible.

Like I said, it mounts in Front of the Track Bar, so when you look at the Jeep from the front you can see it. But Anything White and New under (in your case) an 88' Jeep............will be visible.

Also.....remember I said I left the STOCK stabilizer on........Which is a plus in Two Ways...........1st: I tried pretty hard and could not get the stock bugger off, so mounting in a different location...big plus. 2nd: Dual Stabilizer!!! (kinda)

NY94YJ I have one from Trail Master. It mounts from Frame on passenger side (just behined radiator) to the Drag Link, This makes it sit just infront of the front track bar.
I left the Stock one in place, it is mounted from axle to tie rod.

From the pics on the Skyjacker I can not tell where it would mount, but the bracket does not look it would mount to frame.
The Brass Colored one will mount to Tie Rod or Drag Link, the Black one ..?? Axle maybee.

YJ steering stabilizer kit ??

i need to change the front steering stabilizer on my 88 YJ, the thing is...when looking on ebay or other web vendors heres the kit i found from skyjacker :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Skyja...5483QQtcZphoto

its really not bolt on where the oem is, but the oem one is invisible so maybe these kits put the shock where you see it ? or any other places ? i just cant figure where it bolt up..i see that there is one bracket for the tie rod the other one bolt to the axle ? i could just buy a replacment shock from skyjacker or any other brands but i would prefer buy a kit where the shock is visible, if someone have one installed please feel free to post a pic

thanks
yan
