The club is and always will be free to join with no dues ever, or if you just want to wheel and not join then we would love to have you! We are expecting a run this Saturday the 4th. Message me if your interested. Normal price is $25 per vehicle and no charge for people, but if we get enough to go, and I have at least 20 then the price is $15. You can usually just search on google for jeep clubs in your area. I don't know of any clubs in Temple (or Killeen either) but there is a Jeep Junkies out of Waco.

ALSO, there is a Jeep Night every 1st Thursday of the month at Pluckers in Killeen. All local Jeepers show up and Freedom jeep sponsors it. I hate Freedom with a passion but I won't turn down a raffle prize hahaha. You should check it out this Thursday!
I'll have to check it out one day! Thanks

Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with the wind on the highways? I find myself driving super slow and in the far right lane because the wind pushes me either into the shoulder or oncoming traffic to my left. By the time I get home (I drive from Austin to San Marcos and back twice a week) my arms are exhausted from white knuckling the steering wheel.
I feel you. There isn't much to do about the wind except enjoy it. Highway driving with a soft top is pretty noisy. But you have to think of all the good points too. Like hot summer days at the beach!

Do you have a hardtop or soft top? Hard tops are better for highway driving as soft tips are like a sail. Wind is never a Jeep drivers friend. It's better driving with no top on but then you run into the high winds in the cab whipping hair and clothing around. Lol. Just part of it I guess.
