Oilcanharry Just came back from the first Everglades trip of the season. Lots of small to medium Snook and Reds, lots of bugs and snakes around the campsite. Need to let it cool off a little I think.

SurfKaster Caught & released a nice over slot red today. Well past the max 24" mark on my cart. I imagine it was just over 30". The circle 1 hook just held together.

SurfKaster & I would love to hook up with one of those bodacious Snooks you guys get down there. They show up in our parts, but not near to scale as you guys get. But I'll take what I can get. I've got enough bait now to last me most of next year, not to mention some good eats...



I look forward to seeing your catch. Do you frequent the Florida Sportsman forums too?

Oilcanharry Returning member after a vacation and saw this forum. We are avid Salt water fishermen (Wife and I) and we have been fishing and camping in the Everglades National Park since 1980 mostly catching Snook, Reds and Tarpon with the occasional Bass mixed in. We have a 200 acre lake (phosphate Pit behind the house and we sometimes catch Bass and tilapia.
