|440SixPack||Hey gang, Question on this. Looking into the AEV 5 hole wheels which have 5.25 backspacing. I was looking at pairing those with a TF 2.5 BB and 33x12.5x17's. Will that present any issues? Thanks!|

1. For off roading, more sidewall is better than more metal
2. Tires for smaller rims cost less
3. Weigh less
The setup will work for all models, Sport Sahara, or Rubicon.
Also keep in mind that not all 15's fit on the '12. MB72 is one that does fit. All 16's fit.

The only problem you MAY have with that setup is buying tires that are too wide and having them rub on full-lock turns. If that's the case, you can add a washer to your steering stops and fix that.
Also, you will most likely rub on your fenders if you go offroad with that setup. A simple TF leveling kit (to fix your Jeep's natural rake) or any type of lift (BB, spring, etc) will cure this.

Tires: 33" BFG AT KO
Size: 285 X 75 X 16
You definitely don't need a lift for 33's if you're staying on paved roads. I've only had minor rubbing off road, never on road. As long as you get proper backspacing (4.5"+), you'll be good.

Unlifted JK with 33 x 12.50R15
Not a JKU, but my 2011 Wrangler Rubicon, unlifted, has Goodyear Duratracs, 33x12.50R15's mounted on MB72 rims (15x8), 3.75"BS. A 2.5 inch Teraflex lift is going on this week.

Pix of 33x12.5 without lift
I've read several threads that seem to indicate that you can run 33" on an UNlifted JKU Sahara if you are a flat-lander like me.
Anybody got pix of such a set-up?
Please include Tire brand and size as well as well size.
