it does...but a high stall converter could fix that in the trans...or really low gearing...it still makes considerably more power at lower rpms compared to the stock 4.0 inline 6

YJPete I'm no expert by any means, but if we're talking about the same engine (Duratec) then it tends to make all it's power in the upper rpm ranges, which doesn't make it ideal for jeeps.

New drivetrain

I may have stumbled into something awesome. I found a full drive train from a 2011 F-150. Wires, ECU, 6 speed auto tranny, accessories, the whole 9 yards so to speak. It is the 3.7 liter 302hp V6 with the Torqushift 6 speed. No idea how it would fit and what unforeseen issues may come up but it sure sounds like a great combo for the jeep. I figured worse case if it won't work I could just sell it and with the profit buy the LS1 4L60E combo I was already in the planning stages with.

Any thoughts? Any Ford guys with any insight??
