SJS Did anyone find any good first time trails

Kaumil Thanks for the reply. I should have been a bit more clear - just took delivery of my Jeep, after sending it out to AEV for some heavy mods-- 3.5"/35; bumpers, hood, winch etc.

My issue is just that I don't have much off road experience (don't even have Recovery kit yet).

I was able to get out a few miles north of White Planes with a buddy last Friday-- so earning slowly

If i was you and wanted novice trails i would not go to mahwah until you lift your jeep and get tires.....its rough in spots and you definatly dont wanna get stuck out there by yourself or with another noob no offence but if i was in your position i wouldnt go

I guess I am looking for the equivalent of the bunny slope for new skiers Small hills and sissy stuff like that until I get more familiar with the truck!! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Do we actually drive up to the state forest, pay for entry, and there are specific trails that exist to go on? I'm probably gonna go Sunday and I don't wanna drive up the hour to find out I can't go...
Yes there are a bunch of trails. Most of them are on the other side of the forest without the entrance fee, but I haven't explored everywhere. I started a map in the other thread that show the offroad trails I was driving on. There are more, but I have not explored much since I have no winch and I was alone.

Definitely some nice photo spots in Stokes. As for map updates, I asked everyone who goes there to grab a map and mark where they went. They will then send me the info, and I update a map for all of us to use. I started it, but I only explored a few trails, and there are plenty more.
