Jerry Bransford Insuring your tires are fully aired up will help a lot. The smaller the tire's footprint, the less likely it is to hydroplane.

JustinCHorst swap ends, Ive done it...not in the LJ but my older TJ...the LJ tried that on me once...I replaced the rubber and now shes like a mountain goat in the rain.

TJspeed Regeard? Cause I've never had to use 4wd in rain and I have 33x10.5 BFG KM2 with a 5 speed.

VEGASJEEPER I have had to use 4WD a few times the jeep wanted to swap ends.
