vawt33 Seems it was just a matter of supporting the outer end of the axle shaft. Slid right in. I hope this ole' Dana 30 doesn't leak when I am finished. Replacing the axle seals is not an easy task.

Trouble installing inner axle shaft ????

I replaced the front axle seals in the YJ this weekend. Had to pull the differential to install the drivers side. Now I am trying to install the axle shafts and I cannot get the inner shaft on the passenger side to go in. It must be due to the removal/install of the differential. I found many write-ups on how to remove axle shafts, but nothing on installing them.

Any suggestions on how to get that sucker back in would be much appreciated. I've tried about everything I can think of.
