brad051380 It does have trailer brakes. I figured a brake module would be a must on it. Thx!

Dextreme Does the Popup Camper have trailer brakes? If so, you will probably need to wire for the 7 pin for a brake controller.

Need Advice from Experienced Jeep Owners

I am looking at purchasing the 2012 Wrangler Unlimited w/ the Max Tow package. From what I gather, I need the 3.73 rear end to safely pull something up to 3500 lbs. without degrading any of the mechanical components.

I currently have a 14ft. Popup Camper, it weighs 1945 lbs without the water tank filled.

What I am curious about are a few different things:

Jeep comes with a Class II hitch w/ a 4-PIN harness. My camper is a 7pin connection. Has anyone installed the 7PIN harness? Has anyone pulled one of the larger popup's with an Unlimited?

Any recommendations would be appreciated. My wife currently own a Jeep Patriot, and I look forward to joining the Jeep family of owners
